The federal government and the WA state government both provide rebates and incentives for 100kW solar systems. If you add a battery to your solar system, you may receive the federal battery rebate and the WA state battery rebate, subject to eligibility. Battery rebates are available only for eligible battery systems with a capacity between 5 kWh and 50 kWh. If you install a battery larger than 50 kWh, the rebate is capped at the first 50 kWh of eligible capacity, and the remaining capacity receives no additional rebate.
Example: If you install a 70 kWh battery with your 100kW solar system, you will receive the rebate for 50 kWh only. The additional 20 kWh of battery capacity will not be eligible for the rebate.
System Type | Solar System Average Price Before Rebate | Solar System Average Price After Rebate |
100kw solar system (no battery) | $75,000 - $80,000 | $49,332 - $54,332 |
100kw solar system + 70kw solar battery | $1,00,000 - $1,05,000 | $66,594 - $71,594 |
Note: The 100 kW solar inverter includes solar panels + solar inverter, which cost $49,332 - $54,332 after rebate, and a 100 kW solar system with solar panels, inverter, and solar battery costs $66,594 - $71,594 after rebate. The actual pricing depends on your choice of brands and current available rebates for your installation time and your location.
The price of a 100kW solar system varies across Australia because each city has different climate conditions, sunshine hours, energy consumption patterns, and available rebates and incentives. These factors can affect the overall cost of the system.
City | Solar System Average Price Before Rebate | Solar System Average Price after Rebate |
Perth, WA | $75,000 - $80,000 | $49,332 - $54,332 |
Adelaide, SA | $75,200 - $80,200 | $49,532 - $54,532 |
Brisbane, QLD | $75,400 - $80,400 | $49,732 - $54,732 |
Sydney, NSW | $75,600 - $80,600 | $49,932 - $54,932 |
Melbourne, VIC | $75,800 - $80,800 | $53,778 - $58,778 |
Note: The prices shown are the average cost of a 100kW solar system, including solar panels, the inverter, and standard installation. The price does not include a solar battery. Your final system cost may vary depending on the brands selected, your site requirements, roof design, installation complexity, and any optional upgrades such as battery storage.
Reduce Business Electricity Costs: A 50 kW solar system can generate approximately 200–220 kWh per day, which helps businesses to run heavy appliances without any grid connection. It reduces the dependence on the grid and helps businesses run their business with solar energy.
Strong Return on Investment: Investing in a solar system is a smart financial decision. With the help of Australian Government rebates and incentives, along with ongoing savings on electricity bills, you can recover your initial investment over time while continuing to benefit from lower energy costs.
Supports Future Business Growth: By reducing your electricity bills with a solar system, your business can redirect those savings into expansion, new equipment, or other growth opportunities.
Enhances Your Business Property: Installing a 50kW solar system can increase the appeal of your commercial property by lowering long-term operating expenses, improving energy efficiency, and demonstrating a commitment to sustainable business practices. Energy-efficient commercial properties are often more attractive to tenants, buyers, and investors.
Reliable Performance with Minimal Maintenance: A 50kW solar system is designed to deliver dependable performance for decades with very little maintenance. Regular inspections and occasional panel cleaning help keep the system operating efficiently, allowing your business to benefit from clean, renewable energy for 25–30 years.
Installing a 100kW solar system generally takes 4 to 6 weeks. During this time, the solar installer completes all the required paperwork and documentation and obtains the necessary approvals. After all approvals are received, the installation at the customer's property is usually completed within 1 to 2 days, depending on the project. Solar 365 has an experienced solar team that manages the entire installation process professionally and installs the system safely.
The installation process includes:
Custom 100kW solar system design
Roof mounting and solar panel installation
Solar inverter installation
Electrical wiring and safety testing
Grid connection and system commissioning
Monitoring app setup for real-time system performance tracking

A 100 kW solar system means a solar system that has a capacity of 100 kilowatts under standard test conditions. It is ideal for large commercial and industrial use which have high electricity use.
A 100 kW solar system generally requires approximately 460–600 m² of area. It must have unshaded space and get a good amount of sunlight throughout the day.
An on-grid solar system is connected to the electricity grid. It means you use solar power during the day and draw electricity from the grid when needed. If the solar system generates extra solar power, you can supply it to the grid and receive credits on electricity bills. An off-grid solar system is totally independent from the grid. It includes solar panels, a solar inverter, and a solar battery. A solar battery helps to store the excess solar energy. It is more effective in remote areas where grid connection is not available.
