The federal government and the WA state government both provide rebates and incentives for solar systems. For solar panels, customers receive STC from the federal government, but if you add a battery to a solar system, you receive the federal battery rebates and the WA state rebate. Battery rebates are available only for eligible battery systems with a capacity between 5 kWh and 50 kWh. If you install a battery larger than 50 kWh, the rebate is capped at the first 50 kWh of eligible capacity, and the remaining capacity receives no additional rebate.
Example: If you install a 70 kWh battery, you will receive the rebate for 50 kWh only. The additional 20 kWh of battery capacity will not be eligible for the rebate.
System Type | Solar System Average Price Before Rebate | Solar System Average Price After Rebate |
50kw solar system (no battery) | $45,000 - $50,000 | $32,166 - $37,166 |
50kw solar system + 70kw solar battery | $75,000 - $80,000 | $54,428 - $ 59,428 |
Note: The 50 kW solar inverter includes solar panels + solar inverter, which cost $32,166-$37,166 after rebate, and a 50 kW solar system with solar panels, inverter, and solar battery costs $54,428-$59,428 after rebate. The actual pricing depends on your choice of brands and current available rebates for your installation time and your location.
The price of a 50kW solar system varies across different cities in Australia due to differences in climate conditions, average sunshine hours, installation requirements, and the rebates or incentives available in each state and territory.
City | Solar System Average Price Before Rebate | Solar System Average Price after Rebate |
Perth, WA | $45,000 - $50,000 | $32,166 - $37,166 |
Adelaide, SA | $45,200 - $50,200 | $32,366 - $37,366 |
Brisbane, QLD | $45,400 - $50,400 | $32,566 - $37,566 |
Sydney, NSW | $45,600 - $50,600 | $32,766 - $37,766 |
Melbourne, VIC | $45,800 - $50,800 | $34,789 - $39,789 |
Note: This is the average price of a 50kW solar system, which includes solar panels and a solar inverter. The price does not include a solar battery. The final cost may vary depending on the solar panel and inverter brands you choose, the complexity of the installation, and whether you add a battery storage system.
Reduce Business Electricity Costs: A 50 kW solar system can generate approximately 200–220 kWh per day, which helps businesses to run heavy appliances without any grid connection. It reduces the dependence on the grid and helps businesses run their business with solar energy.
Strong Return on Investment: Investing in a solar system is a smart financial decision. With the help of Australian Government rebates and incentives, along with ongoing savings on electricity bills, you can recover your initial investment over time while continuing to benefit from lower energy costs.
Supports Future Business Growth: By reducing your electricity bills with a solar system, your business can redirect those savings into expansion, new equipment, or other growth opportunities.
Enhances Your Business Property: Installing a 50kW solar system can increase the appeal of your commercial property by lowering long-term operating expenses, improving energy efficiency, and demonstrating a commitment to sustainable business practices. Energy-efficient commercial properties are often more attractive to tenants, buyers, and investors.
Reliable Performance with Minimal Maintenance: A 50kW solar system is designed to deliver dependable performance for decades with very little maintenance. Regular inspections and occasional panel cleaning help keep the system operating efficiently, allowing your business to benefit from clean, renewable energy for 25–30 years.
Installing a solar system at a commercial property takes 3 to 4 weeks. In this process, the solar installer does all the paperwork and documentation and gets approval for rebates from the government. After the approval, installing a system on the customer's property takes 1 to 2 days. Solar 365 has an experienced solar team that manages the entire installation process very professionally and installs the system safely.
The installation process includes:
Custom 50kW solar system design
Roof mounting and solar panel installation
Solar inverter installation
Electrical wiring and safety testing
Grid connection and system commissioning
Monitoring app setup for real-time system performance tracking

Yes, you can export extra generated solar energy to your grid connection. If you export extra solar energy, you receive a solar feed-in tariff on your electricity bills. The amount of solar feed-in tariff depends on your electricity retailer.
On average, three-phase solar inverters perform well with commercial solar systems, but it also depends on your solar system size, your choice of brands, and your budget.
