The GoodWe Lynx U G3 Battery is a residential energy storage solution designed to store excess solar energy for later use. Each battery unit provides 5 kWh of usable capacity, and the system can be expanded to 150 kWh by connecting up to 30 units in parallel. It uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP/LiFePO₄) battery technology, known for its safety and cycle stability.
The battery includes an integrated Battery Management System (BMS) to help monitor and protect battery operation. With an IP65 protection rating, it supports indoor and outdoor installation, subject to installation requirements. Its modular design allows wall-mounted or floor-standing installation, and it is compatible with GoodWe hybrid inverters, subject to the manufacturer's compatibility list.
Benefits of Installing a GoodWe Solar Battery
Use Solar Power After Sunset: Run household appliances using energy stored during the day, even when solar panels are no longer generating electricity.
Manage Peak Electricity Costs: Use stored energy during periods of high electricity prices, when your tariff structure makes this beneficial.
Keep Essential Appliances Running: With a compatible backup configuration, keep essential items such as lights, refrigerators, and internet routers running during a grid outage.
Make Better Use of Excess Generation: Store surplus solar electricity that might otherwise be exported to the grid for a low feed-in tariff.
Support Changing Household Needs: Accommodate increased electricity demand as families add appliances, work from home, or adopt electric vehicles, provided the system is appropriately sized.
Reduce Dependence on Grid Electricity: Use more of your own solar-generated energy and purchase less from the grid.
Manage Energy More Effectively: Coordinate solar generation, battery charging, and household consumption through a compatible energy system.
