The customer's primary goal was to reduce her electricity costs with an affordable battery system that would give her complete independence from her existing panels, as her budget was the main constraint. As she was a single mother, she was the only one to look after her children and their future.

After a five-month journey with the Solar 365 team from February to July, she was able to choose a battery and inverter system fully compatible with her existing solar installation. The final solution delivered improved solar self-consumption, lower electricity bills, and long-term value without requiring replacement of her existing panels.

The Challenge

Finding the right solution wasn’t that straightforward. In this case, the customer wanted a system that fit within her fixed budget, and she didn't want to settle for a battery that wasn't ideal for her family's needs; she wanted an investment that would continue to provide value in the future. Multiple options were explored over the past five months, but she doesn’t want to compromise on affordability or battery capacity.

Another challenge is comparing multiple quotes from different solar providers, which delays the customer's decision and creates confusion among the many data points that influence it. February, the journey started in February, the month of the hottest, driest days. Solar 365 received an inquiry from a customer seeking a battery system that would work seamlessly with her existing 6.6kW panels, and Solar 365 quoted her a 40kWh FoxESS battery with a 5kW hybrid FoxESS inverter. The customer had a fixed budget, and Solar 365 offered her our best deal, which still seemed expensive to her.

Solar 365 respected her decision, and instead of pressuring her, we tried our best to give her time to think and choose what was best for her.

March - Solar 365 and the customer shared the same path again. Solar 365 quoted her for a 23kWh FoxESS Battery with a 5 kW Hybrid Inverter. Unfortunately, this system was also out of her budget.

May- At that time, rebates and pricing had changed, and Solar 365 contacted the customer to inform her so she could obtain her desired system at a reasonable price. Solar 365 then quoted her a 20kWh FoxESS Battery with a 5kW Hybrid Inverter, which was also affordable. However, this was not the size she wanted to go with, and Solar 365 respected her decision, as it was one investment for her, and skipped the offer again.

June-  Once again, our team connected her, and this time Solar 365 offered the 30kWh FoxESS Battery with a 5kW Hybrid Inverter, providing more storage at a reasonable price.

For some time, everything seemed fine and satisfactory.

Solar 365 learned that a few important updates had been implemented, affecting her budget once again.

Although the information reached the Sales Head of Solar 365 and he understood the concern and priority of the customer, we reached the point where we had to make the final decision, and at that moment Solar 365 decided not to charge any extras, and that made Solar 365 different from others because the main role of every company was not just to sell the product but also to provide them with the system that genuinely suited their needs.

Installation

The journey that began in February reached its destination on 18th June and was completed on 2nd July, the day of installation. The installation process was the same as every installation, but the difference lay in the lead-up, where continuity and trust played a vital role for both the customer and Solar 365.

The system was successfully installed alongside her existing solar panels, providing her with additional energy storage and supporting future additions.
